  14. OUTREACH FOR ANIMALS USED IN ENTERTAINMENT
    Open the Cages Alliance on Thursday, February 6th from 7:00 to 7:30 PM
    and February 8th from 2:00 to 2:30 PM will be outside the Baltimore Arena
    on 201 W. Baltimore Street, Baltimore, MD 21201. The Ringling Brothers
    and Barnum and Bailey Circus intends to come to the Baltimore Arena
    this March/April, so this will be one of their pre-emptive outreach
    events. This particular pre-emptive outreach event is scheduled
    prior to the "Disney on Ice" event at the Arena that evening. Volunteers
    will be leafleting and having conversations with families who may
    be planning to attend the circus or other events that use animals for
    entertainment.

    miles northeast of Acadia National Park. Maine Seaweed hand harvests and

    Although not completely vegan or vegetarian, Siena's offers several
    vegan and vegetarian options, the most interesting of which is the
    Lila's Calzone which was specially created for a child with a dairy
    allergy.

Their website does not indicate dishes as specifically vegan,
so any customer would need to ask questions in order to insure their

VEGAN AND VEGETARIAN MEET-UPS IN BALTIMORE, MD
The Vegetarian Meet-up happens at Mango Grove, located at 8865 Stanford
Boulevard, in Columbia, Maryland 21045, on the first Sunday each month
at 12:30 PM. The Vegan Meet-up takes place at Mr. Chan Szechuan at
1000 Reisterstown Rd. in Pikesville on the third Wednesday every month
at 7 PM. If you are vegan or vegetarian and would like to eat great food

JOIN EARTHSAVE FOR A VEGAN POTLUCK
Held on the last Saturday every month at the Learning Center of Your
Prescription for Health, 10210 S. Dolfield Rd. in Owings Mills, EarthSave
presents a vegan potluck and presentation. They eat first, make
announcements,
vote and present awards for their favorite dishes, and then have a
presentation.
This month, Kasia Kines, a licensed, holistic, clinical nutritionist
and educator will be giving a presentation on "land Based Foods for
Prevention and Treatment of Cancer. Dinner guests may choose to either
bring a dish without animal products (to serve 8) plus a $5 donation,
pay $12 to enjoy dinner and a presentation; or pay $5 for presentation
only. Let us know in advance, if possible, if you plan to pay for dinner

PCRM FOOD FOR LIFE KICKSTART 7 CLASS SERIES
Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine will present their
popular "PCRM Food for Life Kickstart 7 Class Series" which will take

    The Global Youth Village, a residential, international leadership
    camp in Virginia's Blue Ridge Foothills, is seeking seasonal food

    Each year, The Vegetarian Resource Group awards $10,000 in college
    scholarship
    money to graduating high school seniors who have worked hard to promote
    vegetarianism in their school and/or communities. Vegetarians do not eat
    meat,
    fish, or fowl. Only students graduating from a US high school in the spring
    of 2014 are allowed to enter; their applications must be sent in by February
    20, 2014. Applicants will be judged on having shown compassion, courage,
    and a strong commitment to promoting a peaceful world through a vegetarian
    diet/lifestyle. Payment will be made to the student's US based college
